Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 July 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and GigCharts ("we", "us") for using the app at app.gigcharts.app and this site. By using GigCharts you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What GigCharts is
GigCharts is a tool that turns song text you provide into a formatted chord chart you can export and print. It is a typesetting tool — it does not provide songs, lyrics, or chords, and it doesn't grant you any rights in the music you enter.
Your account
You can use GigCharts anonymously. Some features require an account, created with your email via a one-tap sign-in link. Keep access to your email secure — anyone who can receive your sign-in link can access your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
Your content
You keep all rights to the songs, charts and other content you create in GigCharts ("your content"). We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the limited permission needed to operate the service — for example, to store and sync your charts so they appear on your devices.
You are responsible for what you put in. You represent that you have the right to use the material you enter (lyrics and chords are often protected by copyright), and that your use of GigCharts complies with the law. Do not use GigCharts to store or share content you don't have the right to, or for anything unlawful.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
- Break the law, or help others do so;
- Attack, overload, reverse-engineer, or try to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' data;
- Resell or redistribute the service itself without our permission.
Copyright & takedowns
We respect intellectual property and expect you to as well. If you believe content stored on GigCharts infringes your rights, see our Copyright & Takedown Policy for how to report it. We remove infringing material and terminate repeat infringers' accounts.
Pro subscriptions
Pro is a paid subscription. Pricing and billing period are shown at checkout, which is handled by our merchant of record, Lemon Squeezy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel anytime and keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Taxes are included or added as required by your location. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
Availability & changes
We work to keep GigCharts available and improving, but we may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Because GigCharts is local-first, you can always export your work as a file. We recommend keeping your own backups of anything important.
Disclaimers
GigCharts is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that exports will suit every printer or application.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or, if you use GigCharts for free, is limited to €50 / $50). Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Termination
You can stop using GigCharts and delete your account anytime from the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. You can export your data before you go.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict- of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders. Continuing to use GigCharts after a change means you accept the updated terms.
